報告題目: Spectrum of a Linear Fourth-Order Differential Operator and its Applications
（一類線性四階微分算子的譜及其應(yīng)用）
報告摘要: We apply the disconjugacy theory and Elias’s spectrum theory to study the positivity and the spectrum structure of the linear operator. We also study the positivity and the spectrum structure of the more general operator. As the applications of our results on positivity and spectrum of fourth-order linear differential operators, we show the existence of nodal solutions for the corresponding nonlinear problems via Rabinowitz’s global bifurcation theorem.

報告人簡介：
馬如云，1997年在蘭州大學獲得博士學位，同年破格晉升為教授。1998年—1999年在美國康涅狄格中央州立大學（CCSU）做訪問學者。2004年—2005年在澳大利亞昆士蘭大學（UQ）做訪問學者。現(xiàn)為西北師范大學數(shù)學與統(tǒng)計學院學術(shù)院長、教授、博士生導師, 甘肅省數(shù)學會副理事長，中國數(shù)學會第十二屆理事。
主要研究方向是非線性微分方程邊值問題及解集的分歧。在Journal of Functional Analysis、Journal of Differential Equations、Discrete and Continuous Dynamical Systems、Zeitschrift für Angewandte Mathematik und Physik、Linear Algebra and its Applications、Proc. Edinburgh Math. Soc.、Nonlinear Analysis RWA、Nonlinear Analysis TMA、Topological Methods in Nonlinear Analysis、Mathematische Nachrichten等SCI刊物上。入選Elsevier發(fā)布2014---2017年中國高被引學者榜單，其論文已被SCI引用2500多次.
馬如云教授于2004年在科學出版社出版專著《非線性常微分方程非局部問題》、《線性微分方程的非線性擾動》。近年來，主持國家自然科學基金項目7項。作為學術(shù)牽頭人，榮獲甘肅省自然科學二等獎4次；榮獲教育部優(yōu)秀骨干教師、甘肅省優(yōu)秀專家、甘肅省優(yōu)秀青年、甘肅省名師獎及甘肅省園丁獎。2012年起享受國務(wù)院頒發(fā)的政府特殊津貼；2014年獲中國僑界貢獻獎。2015年榮獲秦元勛數(shù)學獎。入選甘肅省科技領(lǐng)軍人才第一層次和國家“新世紀百千萬人才工程”。
