報告內容:The Hopf-Oleinik lemma (or the boundary point principle) and the Wiener criterion are two significant results in elliptic and parabolic PDEs. In the first part of my talk, I will discuss some recent work on the Hopf type lemma for divergence form equations and double divergence form equations (i.e., adjoint equations for non-divergence form equations). Some applications will also be mentioned. In the second part, I will present results concerning the Wiener criterion for nondivergence form or double divergence form equations.Based on several joint work with Seick Kim (Yonsei University), Boyan Sirakov (PUC-Rio), Seongmin Jeong (Hanyang University), and Dong-ha Kim (Chung-Ang University).

報告人簡介:董弘桀教授于2005 年在明尼蘇達大學拿到了數學博士學位，現在是布朗大學應用數學系教授。他的研究方向有偏微分方程、概率論和數值分析；具體來說，包括完全非線性橢圓型和拋物型偏微分方程、偏微分方程的概率方法、隨機控制理論、流體方程，和動力學理論。2021 年，董弘桀教授獲得了西蒙斯數學研究員稱號，并于2011年獲美國國家科學基金會的 CAREER 獎。董弘桀教授在 Comm. Pure Appl. Math., Arch.Rational Mech. Anal., Comm. Math. Phys., Adv. Math., JEMS等國際著名學術期刊上發表論文 140余篇，并擔任 SIAM J. Math. Anal., J. Differential Equations 和EJDE等期刊編委。
