2019年5月15日，在第七屆工程機械與車輛工程新進展國際學術會議上，來自墨爾本大學的Saman K. Halgamuge教授應邀，于會場上做題為《AI for Intelligent Construction》主題報告。

Saman教授指出，AI可以用于預測和和神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡方面，并能作出風險評估。關于神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡，他分享了一個學生向大師學習的故事，借學生與大師的神經(jīng)網(wǎng)絡的變化對比，幫助了觀眾更好地理解這個詞。同時，他也強調了傳感器的進展和開發(fā)對AI有著舉重若輕的作用。

SamanHalgamuge, Fellow of the IEEE, is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering of the School of Electrical, Mechanical and Infrastructure Engineering of University of Melbourne, an honorary Professor of Australian National University (ANU) and an honorary Member of ANU Energy Change Institute. He is an Associate Editor of BMC Bioinformatics, IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems II and Applied Mathematics (Hindawi). His research contributions are in AI and Data engineering, which includes Data Analytics based on Unsupervised and Near Unsupervised Learning and Optimization focusing on applications in Mechatronics, Energy, Biology and Medicine.
